The 'suspected' time & date when virus was 'potentially' introduced: The functionality I am talking about here in question is 'dll-injection' as that is the sort of thing that AVAST behaviour shield is designed to detect, it only happens when the software in question is running.įor me this is reason enough to be concerned. There is no other known source engine games that have such added functionality to their executables nor did they need/rely on such functionality to work properly, this includes original Alien Swarm game. This is one game in a long time that I have seen to trigger the AVAST behaviour shield upon running it. My AVAST antivirus behaviour shield did not trigger on that file 'before' the update.

The update that was released on | |, replaced file | Reactivedrop.exe |. This has occurred only 'after' a most recent update has been released for this game on steam not long after the games actual official release on steam. My Avast antivirus has picked up strange behaviour from this games executable upon trying to run it and ended up putting the file into quarantine.
